In 2007 William and Noah Keck opened Blaze salon with the intent of creating one of the finest hair salons in the Midwest. Over the years Blaze has grown into a professionally dedicated staff of more than 25 with two locations comprised of individuals focused solely on cutting, coloring, conditioning and texturing hair.
Today's salon and its team of hairdressers have remained true to that original vision of exceeding the expectations of its customers. We continue to hold true to our goal of making you look and feel your very best. It is who we are, it is what we do, it is our passion.
Our Philosophy
Owners William and Noah Keck began their salon endeavor with a passion for creating beautifully cut and colored hair. That passion still exists and is fueled by the realization of their vision for creating the client-centered salon Blaze, where clients enjoy unique hair styling solutions based upon global fashion and trends.
To achieve this, William and Noah continually travel around the world learning new techniques, studying fashion movements and searching for the highest quality hair products available. By investing this time and effort, their clients are assured individualized services and treatments.
Their philosophy also focus on client wishes. At the start of each and every appointment stylists address client needs and desires during the Complimentary Consultation. This important time allows for clear communication and ensures that clients will look and feel their very best after visiting Blaze.
Our Education
The core belief of Blaze is that continual education is essential to maintain an exceptional level of service. Their skills, techniques and products are ever-evolving to parallel the ever-changing world of fashion. Investing a considerable amount of time, energy and resources to their education, Blaze stylists travel to fashion hot spots like Los Angeles, Milan, London, New York and Miami to further their knowledge of fashion trends, color methods and cutting techniques.
These travels allow them to enhance their knowledge by exchanging, experiencing and ultimately mastering the latest techniques and trends. Services like their Balayage, French Cutting and Styling are among the many techniques that are a direct result of continual education.
Intercoiffure Membership
Blaze salon is proud to be one of only two Intercoiffure Mondial Member salons in Iowa. Widely regarded as the world-wide authority on hair fashion, Intercoiffure Mondial is an elite organization whose membership includes the best of the best in the hair fashion industry.
Membership into Intercoiffure is by invitation only, and is offered to top salon owners globally who also display the highest ethical values, a willingness to share with fellow salon owners and a commitment to providing the highest level of education to their staff.
Intercoiffure is dedicated to pushing the profession and business of hair artistry forward to the highest levels by providing opportunities for members to learn from and collaborate with their peers globally. Annual meetings and Ateliers, as well as quadrennial World Congresses offer ample social interactions for establishing relationships that encourage substantial professional growth. These events also host numerous educational presentations that keep members at the very forefront of the industry.
